Foxglove processes your images entirely on your device, on the website and in the iPhone app. Foxglove doesn't upload your images or any data derived from them; they leave your device only when you share or send them yourself, including screenshots you attach to feedback on the website. We can't see your art unless you send it to us.
If you submit your email address through the sign-up form on the website, it is sent through FormSubmit.co to the info@cweird.com inbox and added to c.weird’s email list, which carries news about Foxglove and about c.weird’s other art and projects. We do not sell your email or give it to anyone to market to you.
Your browser also keeps a local copy of what you submitted, and the site’s analytics record that a sign-up happened (not the address).
If you use Send feedback on the website, the form sends the kind you pick (idea, suggestion or bug), your message, your email if you add it, any screenshots you attach, and the app version, platform and browser details. It goes through FormSubmit.co to the info@cweird.com inbox. FormSubmit’s documentation says: “We retain your form submissions for 30 days.”
Our website (foxgloveapp.com) uses Vercel Web Analytics for page views plus two counters: email sign-ups and App Store button taps, each with which banner was used. Vercel describes the recording of these data points as anonymous and says it uses no third-party cookies. The iOS app does not include any analytics.
All image processing happens on your device: in your browser on the website, and inside the iPhone app. Foxglove never uploads your images to any server. No image data leaves your device unless you share or send it yourself, including screenshots you attach to feedback. On the website, the text or PDFs you use in the Docs tab are processed in your browser the same way and are not uploaded.
What stays on your device: the website and the iPhone app keep a count of processed images; the iPhone app keeps small thumbnails of recent processed images in its own storage for the home-screen widget; on the website, your browser remembers the name, handle and choices you enter and keeps a receipt for each picture you save or share from Foxglove (file name, size, fingerprint, date, and what was written into it, including any name you added and, for a picture saved while the website’s hidden message was on, that message; Clear in the Inspect tab removes them), and the Docs tab keeps the answer keys for your 50 most recent documents. None of this is sent anywhere.
The website uses FormSubmit.co for the sign-up form. Sign-up emails arrive in the info@cweird.com inbox, hosted by Google, and are kept on c.weird’s email list, sent through Squarespace. The website is hosted by Vercel, which also provides the analytics described above. The iOS app uses no third-party services.
The website’s feedback form also goes through FormSubmit.co to the info@cweird.com inbox (see “Feedback form” above).
The iPhone app on the App Store (version 1.1.1) shows no sign-up form and no feedback form, has no analytics and no Docs tab, and uses no third-party services. Its “Found a bug? Report it” link opens an email in your mail app, which goes out only if you send it.
We retain email addresses collected through the notification form until you request removal. To remove your email, contact us at info@cweird.com.
Foxglove does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
